Karen L. Andrews, M.D.

Karen L. Andrews, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Rochester Mayo Clinic. She was the pervious Director of Vascular Ulcer/Wound Healing Clinic and Chair of the Amputee Rehabilitation Service. In addition, she was a past chair of the Publications Committee of Prosthetics and Orthotics International (ISPO).

Dr. Andrews has presented her expert knowledge across the United States and world-wide. With her extensive knowledge of rehabilitation following amputation and vascular wound management, Dr. Andrews is an invaluable participant in the PM&R Resident and Fellowship leadership team. She provides one-on-one teaching to Residents and Fellows regarding prosthetics, vascular ulcers, post-operative recovery, and daily duties of a PM&R Physiatrist. She has a long history of mentoring individuals with interest in amputation rehabilitation. She is involved in teaching at the Mayo Medical School, numerous peer reviewed articles as well as writing book chapters in her area of expertise.
