Biographical summary
Michelle DeLeon, M.D., specializes in colon and rectal surgery. She is an expert in treating colon and rectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) to include ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, as well as benign diseases such as diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, fissures, abscesses and fistulas.
Dr. DeLeon performs minimally-invasive surgery, such as robotic and laparoscopic surgery, for the treatment of colorectal cancer and IBD to minimize post-operative pain and is committed to offering each patient a personalized treatment plan. Her specialized experience and training include sphincter-saving procedures such as J-pouch surgery.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. DeLeon is committed to the education of medical students and surgical residents and fellows. She has specific interests in surgical education and incorporating simulation into
resident training.
In her spare time, Dr. DeLeon enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two Dobermans, Duke and Zoe.
