Royston “Roy” Lek joined the Mayo Clinic International team in July 2021. He currently serves as the executive director, Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for developing strategic partnerships to bring Mayo Clinic’s unique model of care to healthcare organizations and clients in the region.
Prior to his role at Mayo Clinic, Mr. Lek served in several senior management roles in healthcare institutions across Asia. He worked as the chief operating officer of Columbia China in Shanghai, overseeing a multispecialty orthopedic and rehabilitation hospital as well as the greenfield development of several tertiary hospitals and management of primary care clinics and senior living facilities in China. He also has worked as the country managing director of Singapore at Fullerton Health, managing a vertically integrated healthcare business covering third-party administration, primary care, secondary care, diagnostic imaging and radiopharmaceutical facilities.
Mr. Lek is a graduate of the Tsinghua-INSEAD MBA and has a Master of Science in supply chain management at Cranfield University and a bachelor’s in international business, finance and economics at Manchester University. With more than 20 years of experience working in Singapore, China and Germany, Mr. Lek has extensive international business and regional healthcare experience to support new engines of growth throughout Asia Pacific.
