As executive director for the Americas at Mayo Clinic, Jose Solis-Padilla provides leadership and oversight for consulting projects, Mayo Clinic Care Network partnerships, Mayo Clinic offices and strategic partnerships throughout the Americas.
While living in Mexico, he worked in the consulting, telecommunications and manufacturing industries, where he developed expertise and interest in international business and foreign trade. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, Mr. Solis was part of the leadership team of Johns Hopkins Medicine and the management team of Houston Methodist Hospital.
Mr. Solis graduated with a degree in public accounting from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico and received a master’s degree in business administration and international business from the University of Saint Thomas in Houston. He holds the academic rank of instructor in Healthcare Administration at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He has participated in executive leadership education programs at Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and Harvard School of Public Health and is a founding member of the Cameron School of Business mentorship program at the University of Saint Thomas.
Mr. Solis’s experience in foreign trade, international business, healthcare operations and academic medicine provide a global perspective for international collaborations.
