With more than 20 years of leadership and clinical expertise at Mayo Clinic, Monica Boege, D.N.P., M.B.A., has held key roles across the Rochester campus, Mayo Clinic Enterprise and Mayo Clinic Health System. Her extensive clinical experience as a nurse spans the entire continuum of care, from intensive care to procedural and ambulatory settings, providing compassionate care for patients of all ages.
In progressive leadership roles, Dr. Boege has served as nurse administrator for the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and the William J. von Liebig Center for Transplantation and Clinical Regeneration. In these roles, she was responsible for strategic planning, program growth, nursing professional development and staff engagement. She also led initiatives in patient safety, experience and quality improvement. Dr. Boege's dedication to excellence earned her Mayo Clinic Quality Academy Silver Certification, and she holds the academic rank of instructor in nursing at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.
Dr. Boege's governance and committee experience is extensive, having served on the Mayo Clinic Hospital Practice Subcommittee, Patient Experience Subcommittee, Transplant Specialty Council and the Healthcare Incident Command System. Her visionary leadership has shaped programs that elevate staff development and enhance patient care. She also has contributed to the Mayo Clinic Platform and supported international members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. In addition, she remains engaged in academics as adjunct faculty for Master's-level nursing students, fostering the next generation of healthcare leaders.
