Sarah Staal is vice president of Global Operations and Enablement and is responsible for directing Mayo Clinic International’s operational efforts to enable strategic business relationships, global consulting and Mayo Clinic Care Network international members.
Ms. Staal is an experienced leader with proven track record of building high-performing teams and business units for healthcare organizations in the United Arab Emirates and the United States. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, she led the development of a new hospital, ambulatory surgery centers, and freestanding urgent cares/EDs for Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico. Ms. Staal also served as chief administrative officer at a multispecialty hospital in Mubadala Investment Company’s healthcare portfolio in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. During her tenure, she has led new program development, hospital construction, international partnership development, operational oversight and strategic planning.
Ms. Staal earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and marketing and Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Iowa. In addition, she completed a Master of Science in Complementary and Alternative Medicine from American College of Healthcare Services.
