Dustin D. Kuchera is the director of business relationships for Mayo Clinic Global Consulting. In this role, he meets with clients to understand their priorities and challenges and collaborates with them to develop tailored consulting services to help them achieve their goals. Mr. Kuchera plans the scope and deliverables for new consulting engagements, develops statements of work and contracts, and helps launch delivery teams.
Mr. Kuchera is an experienced leader in consulting and clinical operations at Mayo Clinic. In prior roles, he was a director of Strategy Consulting Services, where he led large consulting teams and worked with senior and executive leaders to plan and deliver consulting services across Mayo Clinic's enterprise. These services included clinical and operational improvements, digital enablement, strategy development, new facility planning, and strategy execution. Mr. Kuchera was also an operations manager for the Department of Surgery and the Gonda Vascular Center, overseeing operational and financial performance for multiple clinical divisions. He was a member of the Mayo Clinic in Arizona Clinical Practice Committee from 2018 to 2023. He has been based at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona campus since 2018 and previously worked at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for 10 years.
Mr. Kuchera is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from the American Society for Quality. He is an instructor in healthcare systems engineering at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and a Mayo Clinic Gold Quality Fellow. Mr. Kuchera is a former board member of the Society for Health Systems in the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers.
Mr. Kuchera received his Master of Science in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Minnesota and has an undergraduate degree in physics from Gustavus Adolphis College. He also has an Executive Leadership Certificate from Cornell University.
