Biographical summary
Dr. Awais Malik is a non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in amyloid heart disease. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Medical School.
Dr. Malik received his medical education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and Cardiovascular Diseases fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
In addition to general cardiology, Dr. Malik's clinical practice and research interests focus on using his expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology for the diagnosis and treatment of amyloid heart disease.
