Biographical summary
Allison E. Garda, M.D., is a radiation oncologist at Mayo Clinic. She treats a wide range of benign and malignant conditions with a focus on gynecologic and breast cancers. She strongly believes in a patient-centered approach that emphasizes patient education and shared decision making. Her areas of clinical focus include:
- Treatment of gynecologic cancers including endometrial cancer, uterine sarcoma, cervical cancer, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, and ovarian cancer
- Treatment of breast cancer including localized, advanced, and oligometastatic disease
- Brachytherapy
Her research focuses on quality of life during radiotherapy, survivorship, biomarkers for risk stratification and individualized treatment, and novel treatment strategies including advanced radiotherapy modalities. She is active in teaching, including medical education and global oncology.
