Biographical summary
Bryan J. Traughber, M.D., is a radiation oncologist specializing in genitourinary (GU) malignancies including cancers of the prostate, kidney, penis, and bladder. He is actively engaged in translational and clinical research often done in collaboration with other scientists from Mayo Clinic as well as from other institutions.
- Clinical focus includes management of newly diagnosed and recurrent prostate cancers
- Metastasis directed therapy with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) for low volume (oligometastatic) genitourinary cancers
- Utilizes both photon and proton-based treatment techniques
- Research interests include new medical devices, molecular imaging, radiopharmaceutical development, and novel combination therapies involving either external beam radiotherapy or radiopharmaceuticals
