Biographical summary
Dr. Long D. Tran is a certified optometrist, with special interest in corneal diseases and specialty contact lenses. His clinical focus includes:
- Contact lens management of corneal conditions such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration, post-corneal transplant and irregular astigmatism.
- Fitting and evaluation of conventional gas permeable (GP) lenses, toric GP lenses, and scleral lenses.
- Expertise in management of corneal dystrophies and degenerations.
- Management of complex refractive disorders including diplopia.
- Therapeutic and contact lens management of dry eyes.
In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Tran is an invited lecturer and regularly publishes in scientific journals. He also edits and authors expert content for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
