Biographical summary
Anne Rajkumar, M.D., is a Radiation Oncologist with a focus on cancers originating from the prostate, bladder, kidney, urethra, testicle, and penis. She also treats metastatic disease and difficult recurrences.
Dr. Rajkumar performed years of research investigating ways that cancer becomes resistant to traditional treatments, which was the subject of her undergraduate thesis at Harvard University. She graduated with honors from the medical school at the University of Tennessee, then continued research during her oncological training at Vanderbilt University to investigate how to use radiation therapy to train the immune system to fight cancer. Dr. Rajkumar aspires to advance the field of radiation oncology by running clinical trials focused on pioneering radiation techniques, exploring novel drugs to overcome inherent radiation resistance, and leveraging radiation to stimulate the immune system.
Dr. Rajkumar has lost loved ones to cancer and has a unique perspective that shapes her practice. She is passionate about tailoring recommendations based on individuals' goals and maximizing quality of life throughout cancer treatment.
