Biographical summary
Justin E. Juskewitch, M.D., Ph.D., is a pathologist with special interest in transfusion medicine and clinical informatics. He completed anatomic & clinical pathology residency as well as transfusion medicine fellowship and clinical informatics fellowship at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Juskewitch serves as the medical director of the Mayo Clinic Blood Donor Center and Components Laboratory for the division of Transfusion Medicine which collects and manufactures the majority of blood products used at Mayo Clinic Rochester. His particular clinical interests include blood product collection and manufacturing, transfusion support for neonatal and pediatric patients, emerging technologies for transfusion medicine laboratory practice, and knowledge management & clinical decision support platforms for transfusion medicine clinical practice.
Dr. Juskewitch is board certified in anatomic & clinical pathology, transfusion medicine, and clinical informatics by the American Board of Pathology and is an Assistant Professor and Senior Associate Consultant in Mayo Clinic's Division of Transfusion Medicine. He is the associate medical director for the Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and core
teaching faculty for the Master's Degree Program in Artificial Intelligence in Health Care at Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Juskewitch also serves on the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB) Information Systems subcommittee and as an assistant editor for the American Journal of Clinical Pathology.
