Biographical summary
Meagan E. Tibbo, M.D., M.S., is an orthopedic oncologist and adult reconstructive surgeon specializing in treatment of musculoskeletal tumors, failed joint replacements, and advanced hip and knee arthritis. Dr. Tibbo's expertise is in complex revision hip and knee replacement, limb-preserving tumor surgery, treatment of peri-acetabular metastatic disease, and robotic-assisted arthroplasty. She completed fellowships in adult reconstruction at Midwest Orthopedics at Rush, and in musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Miami. Dr. Tibbo holds a Master of Science from the Mayo Clinic for her work in arthrofibrosis (joint
stiffness). Her research focuses on treatment of complications after hip and knee replacement, as well as reconstruction following soft-tissue tumor resection. She is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, and reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed publications.
