Nelson Leung, M.D., is a professor of medicine and a consultant in the divisions of nephrology and hypertension, and hematology. He graduated from Creighton University School of Medicine in 1994 and completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Iowa and Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and has a special interest in renal diseases related to plasma cell dyscrasias, such as amyloidosis, light chain deposition disease, and monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance.

Dr. Leung has published more than 90 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters on these topics, and has received numerous awards for his teaching and research excellence.

Additionally, Dr. Leung is the founder and president of the International Kidney and Monoclonal Gammopathy Research Group, a collaborative network of researchers dedicated to advancing the knowledge and treatment of these disorders.
