Our first and foremost goal is to help workers with injuries restore their quality of life by addressing both work and personal recovery goals in a safe, timely manner. We also help prevent work-related injuries by working directly with local employers. Mayo Clinic's doctors, physical therapists and occupational therapists offer a rare combination of industry-specific knowledge, years of experience and expertise focused on getting injured workers back on the job. In addition, the comprehensive center is designed to help people whose physical or mental health limitations mean they're restricted from returning to full work duties. We support several different programs designed to meet individual needs. We also can work with local companies to prevent work-related medical issues. Our programs are available to all employers in Rochester, Minnesota, and in the surrounding area. In most cases, injured workers may come from any state in the U.S. so long as their workers' compensation insurer agrees to partner with Mayo Clinic for their medical care plan. The Work Rehabilitation Center staff works closely with patients and employers to provide the following services: Work injury treatment. Work-related assessments. Connection to physicians in Occupational Medicine or other specialty departments at Mayo Clinic as needed. General physical and occupational therapies. Patient resourcesAs a patient at the Mayo Clinic Work Rehabilitation Center, you will receive the care benefits of Mayo Clinic in a convenient location in northwest Rochester, Minnesota. Our team of specialists will work together to create a customized plan to meet your goals. The comprehensive treatment team will develop an individualized treatment plan based on your injury and personal goals. The team can provide care for physical and mental health conditions from the acute to chronic phases of recovery, all in one location. Rehabilitation services are open to most insurance carriers; however, some programs are specific to workers' compensation. You will enjoy excellent communication with others involved in your rehabilitation. You may self-schedule your appointments. Scheduling is simple and convenient, with most appointment options available the next day or the following day. The center provides access to interpreters to reduce any language barriers. You will have the option to work with the same therapist throughout your rehabilitation process. The outpatient facility is inside Mayo Family Clinic Northwest. The clinic has free parking and includes an on-site pharmacy. Be sure to check your insurance eligibility.
