Biographical summary
Andrew J. Zganjar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Florida. Dr. Zganjar specializes in Urologic Oncology and has special interests in the diagnosis and management of bladder cancer. He treats all disorders of the Genitourinary tract, including: bladder, prostate, kidney, and testicular cancers, with special focus on robotic and open radical cystectomy for bladder cancer, nerve-sparing robotic prostatectomy, and nephron-sparing partial nephrectomy.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and graduated from The University of Wisconsin — Madison in Madison, Wisconsin. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin — graduating as a member of both Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Zganjar received his urological surgery training at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, followed by a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Zganjar has authored more than 25 publications and medical abstracts. He has given presentations on genitourinary malignancy at regional and national meetings. He currently serves as the Mayo Clinic — Florida Residency Advising Director for medical students interested in Urology.
