James B. Meiling, D.O., is an Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation who is fellowship-trained in Neuromuscular Medicine. He has an additional certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (RMSK). Areas of clinical practice include:

  • Neuromuscular ultrasound
  • Electrodiagnostic medicine
  • Traumatic brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries
  • Hand rehabilitation
  • Musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided injections of the hand and wrist
  • Rehabilitation management of neuromuscular disorders

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Meiling is actively involved in research, education, and mentorship. He is involved in collaborative research with special interests in neuromuscular ultrasound, electrodiagnostic medicine, traumatic peripheral nerve injuries, neuralgic amyotrophy (Parsonage-Turner syndrome), and peripheral nerve fasciculopathies. He has presented on these topics at national conferences, lectured and taught neuromuscular ultrasound workshops nationally, and published in several scientific peer-reviewed journals.
