Biographical summary
Michelle Junker, M.D., F.A.C.S., is dual Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and surgical critical care. She received her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Dr. Junker completed her surgical critical care fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. After her fellowship, she worked as a trauma and acute care surgeon for Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, a busy level II trauma center in Northwest Wisconsin, from 2020 to 2024. During that time she was promoted to Instructor of Surgery and Consultant. She joined Mayo Clinic Rochester Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, Critical Care, and General Surgery (TCGS), in July 2024. She was named TCGS Division practice chair in January 2024.
