Nicholas Y. Tan, M.D., M.S., was originally from Singapore. He attended college at the Johns Hopkins University, where he majored in biomedical engineering and applied mathematics and statistics. He then completed medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Subsequently, he came to Mayo Clinic for Internal Medicine residency followed by Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships. Dr. Tan stayed on at Mayo Clinic as faculty within the Heart Rhythm division. He specializes in treating heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation/flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and bradycardias.
