Biographical summary
Clifford Shin, M.D., Ph.D., serves as a Senior Associate Consultant in the Division of Nuclear Radiology at the Department of Radiology, Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. He grew up in Los Angeles, California. Dr.
Shin received his dual-major BA in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience, from Columbia College, Columbia University as a John Jay National Scholar. He later earned his MD-PhD from the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah. He completed his doctoral dissertation in Oncological Sciences at the Huntsman Cancer Institute under a NIH F30 grant in Dr. Sheri L. Holmen's lab. Dr.
Shin completed his internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital with a dual pathway in Nuclear Medicine. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in MRI Body Imaging at Yale University.
Dr. Shin is board-certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. His clinical and research focus lies in molecular imaging, theranostics, PET/CT and PET/MR.
He has received numerous awards for his excellence in diagnostic radiology and teaching.
