Biographical summary
Dr. David Semeniuk, B.D.S.c., M.S., originates from Perth, Western Australia. He completed his Dental degree at the University of Western Australia, and subsequently worked as a general dentist. Dr Semeniuk then completed a dental research degree, graduating with first class honors. Dr. Semeniuk then moved to North Carolina to complete his residency and Masters in Science in Periodontology, at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Semeniuk has worked in specialist practice limited to Periodontology and Oral Implantology in Western Australia and in Virginia, USA. Following this, Dr. Semeniuk took up a position at Temple University in Philadelphia PA as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Periodontology and Oral implantology. He was responsible for resident implant education and predoctoral periodontal education, and treating patients in the Faculty Dental Practice. Dr. Semeniuk is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), an editor of the ITI online academy, and reviewer for dental journals.
Dr. Semeniuk conducts preclinical and clinical research, with interests in clinical oral implantology, oral regeneration, bone biology, adjunct use of lasers in the treatment of periodontitis and soft tissue grafting.
