Biographical summary
Emily McTate, PhD L.P., is a pediatric psychologist with special interest in oncology and hematology patients. Her clinical focus includes:
- Management of psychological symptoms that interfere with medical care
- Intervention around parenting strategies in the context of chronic medical illness
- Children and Adolescents with Chronic Conditions
- Pediatric Sickle Cell Disease
- Pediatric Cancer
- Facilitation of patient and provider communication

In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. McTate participates in research and education with both psychiatry and psychology fellows. She is also interested in patient's and families experiences of racism in health care and supporting providers in anti-racism work.
