Biographical summary
Melissa Lyle, M.D., FACC is a board certified cardiologist and echocardiographer with subspecialty training and board certification in advanced heart failure and transplantation. Her clinical focus includes:
- Expertise in the diagnosis and management of cardiac amyloidosis
- Management of chronic heart failure and implantation of guideline directed medical therapy
- Inpatient care of acute cardiovascular diseases including acute decompensated heart failure and cardiogenic shock
- Complex clinical decisions regarding treatment of advanced heart failure including cardiac transplantation or mechanical circulatory support, such as left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation
- Treatment of cardiomyopathies including genetic cardiomyopathy, cardiac sarcoidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and left ventricular noncompaction
- Performance and interpretation of transthoracic and transesophogeal echocardiography
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Lyle is active in research and education, providing mentorship to both residents and fellows.
