Afton Koball, Ph.D., L.P., A.B.P.P., is a board-certified clinical health psychologist with expertise in eating and weight disorders. She is a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.

Dr. Koball attended graduate school at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL and her post-doctoral fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Rochester.

Dr. Koball's clinical practice focuses on caring for patients who are pursuing or have had bariatric surgery and medical or behavioral weight management interventions. Her research interests are centered on psychosocial factors related to bariatric surgery, weight management, and eating behaviors.
