Kianoush B. Kashani, M.D., M.S.

Kianoush B. Kashani, M.D., MS, MSc, FASN, FCCP, is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Critical Care Medicine who currently practices in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension with a joint appointment in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic. He is a Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

He attended medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He completed his internal medicine residency and research fellowship stroke at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, New York, New York. He completed his critical care medicine fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, his nephrology fellowship at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California. He completed his Master's in Clinical and Translational Science at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota.

His clinical interests focus on ICU Nephrology and his research interests include acid-base and electrolytes, acute kidney injury, ICU fluid management, clinical informatics in prediction, detection and management of ICU syndromes, and burnout among ICU fellows.
