Biographical summary
Amjad Kanj, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and a board-certified pulmonologist with expertise in asthma, bronchiectasis, and non-tuberculous mycobacterial lung disease.
Dr. Kanj earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Michigan and pursued subspecialty training in pulmonary and critical care at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Dr. Kanj's research focuses on how alterations in the lung microbial environment affect airway inflammation in patients with bronchiectasis and other airway diseases. He is also interested in the interpretation of pulmonary function tests and the impact of social determinants of health on lung function.
