Biographical summary
Urshila Durani, M.D., M.P.H., obtained her BA, MPH, and MD degrees from Northwestern University, and completed her residency and fellowship training at Mayo Clinic and City of Hope National Medical Center. She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology, and has received several awards for her clinical and academic excellence, such as the Angela and Anne V. Marinelli Endowed Fellowship and the Tow Tan Humanism in Medicine Award.
Dr. Durani has a special interest in lymphoma, stem cell transplant, and CAR-T therapy, and has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles on these topics. She is also involved in various professional and educational activities, such as serving on committees for the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, reviewing manuscripts for several journals, developing curricula and courses for medical students and fellows, and mentoring trainees and junior faculty.
