Biographical summary
Amanda R. Bonikowske, PhD, is an exercise physiologist with certification as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. She began her career in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise testing. She then attended the University of Minnesota where she completed her dissertation work on inactivity physiology and glucose control. She taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for three years as an Assistant Professor at Carroll University before joining Mayo in January 2017. Dr. Bonikowske is the Assistant Program Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
