Sarvam P. TerKonda, M.D.

Sarvam TerKonda, M.D., is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has dedicated more than three decades to the mastery of aesthetic surgery. Although specializing in aesthetic facial surgery and rejuvenation, he has expertise in body contouring and breast surgery.

As the Medical Director of the Mayo Clinic Cosmetic Center, Dr. TerKonda was instrumental in bringing a diverse team of experts, including aestheticians, dermatologists, facial plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons and plastic surgeons, under a single roof. The Cosmetic Center specialists collaborate on restoring each individual’s youthful appearance and wellness.

After his degree in Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. TerKonda attended the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. Pursuing his passion for aesthetic surgery, Dr. TerKonda completed fellowship training in facial aesthetic surgery and minimally invasive plastic surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

At Mayo Clinic, he was the previous Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Medical Director for the Breast Center, and he has served in multiple leadership positions. Dr. TerKonda was appointed by former Florida Governor Rick Scott to the Florida Board of Medicine for multiple terms. He eventually was elected as the Chairman of the Board for the Federation of State Medical Boards. He is a member of multiple societies, serving on multiple committees, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Throughout his career, Dr. TerKonda has performed more than 6,000 procedures, providing care to patients nationally and internationally. Understanding that plastic surgery is a perfect marriage of art and surgery, Dr. TerKonda focuses on his client’s needs to enhance their natural beauty.
