Fernanda Bellolio, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Fernanda Bellolio is a Professor of Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic with joint appointments in the Division of Health Care Policy and Research, and the Department of Medicine, Division of Community Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care. She is the Vice-Chair for Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine, and the Director of Clinical Applications at the Mayo Clinic Robert and Arlene Kogod Center on Aging.

Dr. Bellolio did her Emergency Medicine residency training at Mayo Clinic. She has a Master’s in Clinical Research and Translational Sciences and completed a post-doctoral program on Healthcare Delivery dedicated to secondary data analysis and research methodology at the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery.

Dr. Bellolio works in the Emergency Department in Rochester, MN and treats all acute conditions including those of children, adults, and seniors. As an emergency medicine physician she specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and life-threatening conditions providing rapid assessment and treatment to patients of all ages. Emergency physicians handle a wide range of emergencies, including trauma, cardiac issues, respiratory distress, severe infections, neurological emergencies, among others.
