Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Agitation
  2. bloating
  3. blurred vision
  4. change in the color, amount, or odor of vaginal discharge
  5. chest pain or tightness
  6. chills
  7. cold sweats
  8. coma
  9. confusion
  10. constipation
  11. cool, pale skin
  12. cough
  13. cracks in the skin
  14. darkened urine
  15. decreased urine output
  16. difficulty with moving
  17. difficulty with swallowing
  18. dilated neck veins
  19. dizziness
  20. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  21. dry mouth
  22. extreme fatigue
  23. fast heartbeat
  24. fever
  25. flushed, dry skin
  26. frequent or painful urination
  27. fruit-like breath odor
  28. headache
  29. hives, itching, skin rash
  30. hostility
  31. increased hunger
  32. increased thirst
  33. increased urination
  34. indigestion
  35. irregular breathing
  36. irregular heartbeat
  37. irritability
  38. large, hive-like swelling on the face, eyelids, lips, tongue, throat, hands, legs, feet, or sex organs
  39. lethargy
  40. loss of appetite
  41. loss of consciousness
  42. loss of heat from the body
  43. muscle pain or stiffness
  44. muscle twitching
  45. nausea
  46. pain, tenderness, redness, or swelling of the area between and around your anus and genitals
  47. pains in the stomach, side, or abdomen, possibly radiating to the back
  48. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  49. rapid weight gain
  50. red, swollen skin
  51. redness, itching, swelling, or pain around the penis, or a discharge with a strong odor from the penis
  52. scaly skin
  53. seizures
  54. severe joint pain
  55. shakiness
  56. slurred speech
  57. stupor
  58. sweating
  59. swelling of the face, fingers, ankles, hands, feet, or lower legs
  60. trouble breathing
  61. unexplained weight loss
  62. unusual tiredness or weakness
  63. vomiting
  64. weight gain
  65. yellow eyes or skin

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Body aches or pain
  2. ear congestion
  3. loss of voice
  4. runny or stuffy nose
  5. sneezing
  6. sore throat

Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.
