Thomas Witzig, M.D., is a professor of medicine and a consultant in hematology and hematopathology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He has a long and distinguished career in clinical and translational research on lymphoma and multiple myeloma, with over 300 publications and several honors and awards. He is the co-principal investigator of the University of Iowa/Mayo Clinic Lymphoma SPORE, the associate director of translational research at Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, and the co-chair of the National Cancer Institute National Clinical Trials Network Lymphoma Committee.

Dr. Witzig obtained his MD from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1979 and completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and Mayo Clinic. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology, and has expertise in radioimmunotherapy, stem cell transplantation, and targeted therapy for hematologic malignancies.
