Karthik Udayappan, M.D.

Meiyappan (Karthik) Udayappan, M.D., is a board certified general internal medicine physician. His clinical focus includes:

• diagnostic evaluation of unexplained or unresolved symptoms
• prevention and management of chronic disease
• longevity

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Udayappan seeks to research the origins of diagnostic errors, understand how physicians learn and think, clarify the role of generalists in a world of increasing specialization, increase the value placed on cognitive non-procedural fields that have been underrecognized by traditional market forces, and empower patients to actively participate in their diagnostic odyssey to co-produce and co-manage diagnoses.

He attended University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and trained in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
