Dora Syin, M.D.

Dr. Dora Syin recently joined the Mayo Clinic in January 2018 as a senior associate consultant in the Department of Critical Care Medicine. She completed her medical education, anesthesiology residency, and critical care fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and subsequently stayed on faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine. She is experienced in surgical outcomes and health services research, and completed a research fellowship with the Johns Hopkins Quality and Safety Research Group and Center for Surgical Outcomes Research. She is passionate about medical education and has been actively involved in residency and fellowship program leadership, curriculum design, and performance evaluation improvement. Her current interests include clinical education in perioperative medicine and surgical critical care, expanding critical care services and outreach, improving ICU utilization, and enhancing operational workflow in the perioperative setting.
