Biographical summary
Ashley Pena, M.D., is a Neurologist at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. She specializes in movement disorders and treats conditions such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, multiple system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, and corticobasal degeneration. She performs botulinum toxin injections for focal dystonia, blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and spasticity with the capability of utilizing electromyographic (EMG) guidance. She also specializes in clinical neurophysiology and uses the techniques of electroencephalography (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) to perform highly specialized movement neurophysiology studies to evaluate movement disorders such as tremor and myoclonus. Additional clinical interests include deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, electroencephalography interpretation, resident education, and hospital inpatient neurology.

Following her graduation, she completed a 1 year clinical neurophysiology fellowship and a 1 year movement disorders fellowship at Mayo Clinic Arizona.
