Bryan J. Neth, M.D., Ph.D., is a Neurologist with subspecialty training in Neuro-Oncology and Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology. He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology with a joint appointment in Medical Oncology. His clinical focus includes expertise in:

  • Care of patients with tumors of the brain and spine
  • Care of patients experiencing complications of cancer therapy
  • Clinical trials to evaluate promising new drugs and approaches in neuro-oncology
  • Diagnosis and management of Alzheimer's disease, Lewy body disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders
  • Diagnosis and management of normal pressure hydrocephalus

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Neth is active in research, with a primary goal of improving memory and thinking in patients with brain tumors (glioma, meningioma, brain metastasis) and systemic malignancies (including breast and prostate cancer). He is working to identify mechanisms contributing to cancer-related cognitive impairment, and to lead therapeutic clinical trials aimed at improving memory and thinking in patients with cancer.
