Dr. Umair Majeed is an Oncologist in the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He specializes in gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. His specialty interests include cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), gallbladder and hepatocellular carcinomas.

Dr. Majeed graduated Summa Cum Laude from Lahore Medical and Dental College in Pakistan. He completed his internship and residency from Advent Health Orlando where he also served as chief resident. He served as the Assistant Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency at the same program. Subsequently, Dr. Majeed completed his fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology from Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville where he joined as staff and was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Dr. Majeed is committed in advancing the field of hepatobiliary cancers through the development of clinical trials for his patients. He has co-authored papers in peer reviewed journals and presented in national meetings on the subject. He is also passionate about education of medical students, residents and fellows.
