Prashant Kapoor, M.D., has expertise in multiple myeloma, Waldenstrom macroglobulinemia, and amyloidosis. He received his medical degree from the University of Mumbai, India, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Saint Francis Hospital, University of Illinois at Chicago. He then pursued a research fellowship in multiple myeloma at Mayo Clinic, followed by a clinical fellowship in hematology/oncology. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology, and hospice and palliative medicine.

Dr. Kapoor has received several awards and honors for his research and teaching, including merit awards from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology, and the Harry Kurz, M.D. Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching by a Resident. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and abstracts on various topics related to plasma cell disorders and hematologic malignancies. He is also involved in several clinical trials and collaborative research projects, as well as serving as an editorial board member and reviewer for several journals.
