Dr. Jokhadar is a cardiologist and Senior Associate Consultant at the Mayo Clinic Department of Cardiology with specialization in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) and in advanced heart failure/cardiac transplantation.

Prior to joining the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Jokhadar was Professor of Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Director of the Emory ACHD Center, and Fellowship Director of the Emory ACHD training program. Dr. Jokhadar also provided sports cardiology care to the Atlanta Falcons for 14 seasons and worked with several professional and collegiate sports teams.

Dr. Jokhadar went to medical school at the University of Damascus and then came to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for internal medicine residency. He then completed cardiology and subspecialty fellowships at Emory University, where he remained on staff before returning to the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Jokhadar is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, advanced heart failure/transplantation, ACHD, and echocardiography. His research focus includes advanced heart failure therapies and critical care in ACHD patients. Dr. Jokhadar is the recipient of numerous teaching and service awards.
