Andrea Ferrero, Ph.D., is a diagnostic medical physicist, with specialty interest in diagnostic and cone-beam x-ray computed tomography (CT).

His clinical focus includes:

  • Expertise in management and optimization of CT imaging protocols
  • Radiation dose measurements and optimization
  • MRI safety for patients with implanted devices

In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Ferrero is active in research and education, providing mentorship to residents and graduate students. He is a member of the CT Clinical Innovation Center and investigates the use of multi-energy CT for the imaging of urinary stones.
