Biographical summary
Michelle Elliott, M.D., is a consultant and associate professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic, completed her residency and fellowship training in internal medicine, hematology and oncology at Mayo Clinic. She is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology and obesity medicine, and has a bronze level certification from the Mayo Clinic Quality Academy.
Dr. Elliott has held various academic and clinical positions at Mayo Clinic, including director of the General Coagulation Laboratory, co-chair of the Hematology-Oncology Formulary Task Force Committee, chair of the Pharmacogenomics Task Force Committee, and chair of the Rochester Acute Leukemia and Myeloid Neoplasm Disease Oriented Group. She has received several honors and awards, such as the Foundation Scholarship from the University of Dublin, the Practice Development Award from the Department of Internal Medicine, and the Mayo Clinic Patient Experience Award.
Dr. Elliott has been involved in education, service, research and clinical practice in the fields of benign and malignant hematology, hematopathology, geriatric medicine and pharmacogenomics. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and abstracts on various topics related to hematology and oncology, and has served as a peer reviewer for several journals.
