Biographical summary
Dr. Abdallah El Sabbagh is an interventional cardiologist with special interest in structural heart interventions, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement, transcatheter mitral valve replacement and repair, transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement and repair, paravalvular leak closure, patent foramen closure, left atrial appendage closure, fistula and pseudoaneurysm closure as well alcohol septal ablation. He also has a special interest in invasive hemodynamic assessment for comprehensive diagnosis of complex valvular and other structural heart disease, including exercise cardiac catheterization, constriction/restriction studies, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and evaluation of dyspnea. He is also specialized in complex percutaneous coronary artery interventions and mechanical support devices. Dr. El Sabbagh is involved in clinical research with a special focus on diagnosis and percutaneous treatment of mitral valve disease.
