Biographical summary
Ricardo Diaz Milian, M.D., F.A.S.E., is board-certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology, advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography, and in critical care echocardiography.
Dr. Diaz Milian is a graduate of the Universidad Francisco Marroquin Medical School in Guatemala. He completed a surgical internship at Mayo Clinic, and an anesthesiology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then obtained training in Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Diaz Milian treats patients that are critically ill and provides anesthesia for adults that undergo complex surgical procedures. His research interests include critical care echocardiography, extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation, and medical ethics.
