اطلُب رعاية طبية عاجلة

اتصل برقم الطوارئ 911، أو رقم الطوارئ المحلي أو اطلب من أحدٍ أن يُقلَّك لغرفة الطوارئ إذا شعرتَ بضيق شديد فى النفس فجأةً بدرجة تعوق قدرتك على الحركة. اطلُب الرعاية الطبية العاجلة إذا شعرتَ بألم في الصدر مصاحب لضيق النفس، أو شعرتَ بالإعياء، أو الغثيان، أو بدأ لون الشفتين أو الأظافر يميل إلى الأزرق، أو اضطراب في اليقظة الذهنية - لأنها قد تكون مؤشرات على حدوث نوبة قلبية أو انصمام رئوي.

حدِّد موعدًا لزيارة الطبيب

حدِّد موعدًا لزيارة الطبيب إذا شعرتَ بأيٍّ من الأعراض التالية مع ضيق النفس:

  • تورُّم القدمين والكاحلين
  • صعوبة في التنفُّس عند الاستلقاء على الظهر
  • حُمى شديدة ورعشة وسعال
  • صفير الصَّدر (أزيز)
  • زيادة صعوبة التنفس (ضيق النفس) سوءًا

الرعاية الذاتية

لتجنُّب أن يزداد ضيق النفس المزمن سوءًا:

  • أقلِعْ عن التدخين. أقلِعْ عن التدخين، أو لا تبدأ بالتدخين من الأساس. التدخين هو السبب الرئيسي لداء الانسداد الرئوي المزمن. إذا كنتَ مصابًا بداء الانسداد الرئوي المزمن، فسيساعد الإقلاع عن التدخين على الإبطاء من تقدّم المرض وتجنُّب مضاعفاته.
  • تجنَّب التعرُّض للسموم. تجنَّب استنشاق المواد المسببة للحساسية والسموم البيئية، كالأدخنة الكيماوية أو التدخين السلبي، قدر الإمكان.
  • تجنَّبْ درجات الحرارة العالية بشدة أو المنخفضة بشدة. تُسبِّب ممارسة الأنشطة البدنية في جوٍّ شديد الحرارة أو الرطوبة أو البرودة زيادة صعوبة التنفس الناتجة عن مرض الرئة المزمن.
  • ضَعْ خطة عمل. إذا كنتَ مصابًا بمشكلة طبية تُسبِّب ضيق النفس، فاستشِرْ طبيبك إذا شعرتَ بأن أعراضك تزداد سوءًا.
  • ضَع مشكلة المرتفعات في اعتبارك. عند السفر لأماكن ترتفع عن مستوى سطح البحر، خُذْ وقتك للتأقلم وتجنُّب أي نشاط مفاجئ في ذلك الوقت.
  • مارِس التمارين الرياضية بانتظام. تساعد التمارين الرياضية على تحسين اللياقة البدنية وزيادة القدرة على احتمال الأنشطة البدنية. تساعد التمارين الرياضية -وفقدان الوزن إذا كان وزنك زائدًا- على تقليل احتمالية تفاقم مشكلة ضيق النفس بسبب نقص الهواء. استشِرْ طبيبك قبل بدء برنامج من التمارين.
  • تناوَل دواءك. قد يسبب الإهمال في تناول الأدوية المخصصة لعلاج مشاكل القلب والرئة المزمنة إلى صعوبة السيطرة على مشكلة صعوبة التنفس.
  • تفحَّص جهازك باستمرار. إذا كنتَ تستخدم الأكسجين التكميلي، فاحرص على توفير كمية مناسبة منه، وتأكَّد من أن الجهاز يعمل بكفاءة.
