It is very important that your doctor check your progress at regular visits to make sure this medicine is working properly.

This medicine may cause severe diarrhea. Check with your doctor right away if you have fever, pain, stomach cramps, tenderness, or watery or bloody diarrhea. Your doctor will give you medicines to help prevent diarrhea during treatment with this medicine. Drink extra fluids to help prevent dehydration.

This medicine may cause weight loss. Talk to your doctor if you notice you are losing weight during treatment with this medicine.

Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. This includes prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicines and herbal or vitamin supplements.
