Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

More common

  1. Black, tarry stools
  2. bleeding gums
  3. blood in the urine or stools
  4. blurred vision
  5. burning, tingling, numbness or pain in the hands, arms, feet, or legs
  6. chest pain or tightness
  7. chills
  8. confusion
  9. cough
  10. decreased urination
  11. difficult or labored breathing
  12. difficulty in moving
  13. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  14. eye pain
  15. fainting
  16. fever
  17. general feeling of illness
  18. headache
  19. irregular heartbeat, recurrent
  20. joint pain, stiffness, or swelling
  21. lower back, side, or stomach pain
  22. muscle ache, cramps, pain, or stiffness
  23. painful or difficult urination
  24. pale skin
  25. pinpoint red spots on the skin
  26. rapid weight gain
  27. rash
  28. sensation of pins and needles
  29. sore throat
  30. sores, ulcers, or white spots on the lips, tongue, or inside the mouth
  31. stabbing pain
  32. swelling of your arms, feet, or lower legs
  33. unusual bleeding or bruising
  34. unusual tiredness or weakness

Rare

  1. Inability to move the arms and legs
  2. sudden numbness and weakness in the arms and legs

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

More common

  1. Cracked lips
  2. decreased appetite
  3. diarrhea
  4. difficulty in swallowing
  5. nausea
  6. vomiting
