Side Effects

Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur:

Incidence not known

  1. Bloated feeling
  2. blurred or double vision or other changes in vision
  3. change in near or distance vision
  4. chest pain or discomfort
  5. confusion
  6. constipation
  7. cough
  8. difficulty in focusing eyes
  9. difficulty swallowing
  10. dizziness
  11. dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position
  12. fainting
  13. fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat or pulse
  14. headache
  15. high fever
  16. hives, itching, skin rash
  17. irregular heartbeat
  18. recurrent lightheadedness
  19. nervousness
  20. pain or discomfort in the eye
  21. pounding in the ears
  22. pounding or rapid pulse
  23. puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
  24. rigid muscles
  25. seizures
  26. slow or fast heartbeat
  27. sweating
  28. tightness in the chest
  29. trouble in urinating
  30. unusual tiredness or weakness

Get emergency help immediately if any of the following symptoms of overdose occur:

Symptoms of overdose

  1. Agitation
  2. anxiety
  3. irritability
  4. mood or other mental changes
  5. muscle weakness or paralysis
  6. nightmares
  7. restlessness
  8. seeing, hearing, or feeling things that are not there
  9. tremor
  10. unusual feeling of excitement

Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Also, your health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects. Check with your health care professional if any of the following side effects continue or are bothersome or if you have any questions about them:

Incidence not known

  1. Bleeding, blistering, burning, coldness, discoloration of skin, feeling of pressure, hives, infection, inflammation, itching, lumps, numbness, pain, rash, redness, scarring, soreness, stinging, swelling, tenderness, tingling, ulceration, or warmth at the injection site
  2. decreased amount of breast milk
  3. decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  4. decreased sweating
  5. drowsiness
  6. dry mouth
  7. inability to have or keep an erection
  8. loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  9. loss of taste
  10. mental excitement
  11. nausea
  12. sensitivity of the eyes to sunlight
  13. trouble sleeping
  14. vomiting
