Biographical summary
Nathan Waldron, M.D., MHSc, is a board-certified Anesthesiologist and Intensivist with expertise in perioperative care of patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery including heart / lung transplantation.
Dr. Waldron attended medical school at Duke University in Durham, NC, where he obtained his medical degree as well as a Masters Degree in Clinical Research. He also completed his Anesthesiology residency, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship, and his Critical Care fellowship at Duke University.
Dr. Waldron's clinical practice focuses on the treatment of patients with advanced heart and lung disease, mechanical circulatory support, and patients having high-risk surgery. His research interests include: prevention of dysrhythmias after cardiac surgery, autonomic modulation, and clinical trials in the perioperative period.
