Christopher L. Trautman, M.D.

Christopher Trautman, M.D., is a nephrologist in the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Mayo Clinic hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Trautman specializes in treating acute kidney injuries, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, glomerular disease, and hypertension. His clinical interests include onconephrology and glomerulonephritis.

He received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas where he initially pursued a career in engineering. In 2010, Dr. Trautman returned to the classroom attending medical school at Texas Tech University — Paul L Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, Texas. He then completed an internal medicine internship, residency, and chief residency at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida followed by a 2-year nephrology fellowship at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Trautman has authored and contributed to several peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in his area of medicine, and is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
